The Royal Oak Service Center renovation consisted of converting the service center’s existing warehouse space into office space to meet Comcast’s expansion of their business units. Scope of work consisted of new carpet tiles, new acoustical ceiling tile/lights, new mechanical system to accommodate the 70 plus employees and data systems. In addition to the interior renovation, the site parking requirements were re-designed to accommodate the additional employees.

Project Description

Located in downtown Detroit, the DTE Energy Corporate Office complex consists of three (3) buildings; a 24 story hi-rise corporate headquarters building, a 6 story service building, and an 11 story general office building. 

DTE Energy has embarked on a program to “Transform the Workplace” by re-designing the way employees interact within the workplace, employees will benefit from more collaborative, efficient and effective work stations, which are also designed to reduce the cost of making future changes, new spaces for centralized copy/print areas, more informal spaces for employees to gather in addition to the more formal conference areas. Additional work scope includes upgrades to the infrastructure as well as restrooms, corridors, and servery spaces.

Verizon

Project Description

The 30,000 sf Verizon Wireless Regional Corporate Office/Headquarters was built as phase one of a two part project which also housed a 22,000 sf regional MSC (Mobile Switching Center) at the facility located in Southfield, Michigan.

The original building was a video production studio which Verizon Wireless purchased in 2004 and totally gutted for the new Office/MSC facility. The Corporate Office included 80 work stations, private executive office suite, a secured entry lobby, toilets, lunch room, shipping/ receiving, state of the art conference rooms, and miscellaneous support functions. The MSC area accommodated telephone switching equipment, battery room, rectifier room, control room, and AC power and mechanical equipment areas.
